Most Corporate Wellness
is a hotline nobody calls and a poster nobody reads.
Generic EAP benefits, one-off wellness webinars, "self-care" reminders that land the week before a deadline crunch. None of it changes how the work actually gets done.
Your team doesn't need more awareness. It needs systems and leadership habits that actually hold up under real pressure, built for how the work happens, not how HR wishes it happened.
Three Problems, Not One
This Work Solves Three Specific Things your
Best People are Quietly Carrying.
Masking struggle behind visible success
Your highest performers have learned to hide the strain behind the results. They keep delivering, so the cost stays invisible until it shows up as disengagement, health strain, resentment, or a resignation letter.
I diagnose what’s actually creating the drain and build recovery into how the work happens.
They've tried every framework. None stuck.
Your team hasn’t failed to adopt productivity tools. The tools have failed them. Now people are improvising at a high level, exhausted by cognitive load nobody can see. Work gets done, but too much depends on memory, urgency, and individual workarounds.
Systems get built for how your team actually thinks and works. Not a generic template.
Your best people are splitting themselves to fit the room
Your strongest leaders often carry more range than their role knows how to hold. Strategic thinker in one room. Emotional support in another. Operator, fixer, translator, visionary, firefighter — depending on what the day demands. From the outside, they look adaptable. Inside, the constant switching creates strain, confusion, and lost momentum.
I help build clearer ways of working so people can bring their full range without the work depending on constant self-fragmentation.

Your Questions, Answered

Career burnout is a state of ongoing exhaustion, disengagement, or strain caused by work demands that exceed your available capacity for too long. For high-achieving professionals it can show up even when you are successful, praised, or performing well on paper. In fact more often than not the high achievers and the ones who push through are the ones that are likely going to be the most susceptible to experiencing burnout.

High achiever burnout is often hidden behind competence. You may still be meeting deadlines, leading well, and getting results but privately you feel exhausted, resentful, numb, or disconnected from the work that used to matter to you. That is often the most pervasive aspect of high achiever burnout: it is not a lack of competence and it is often not seen as any sort of executive dysfunction. It's quieter and it's more subtle. More emotional.
In fact, take a peek at the emotional burnout section of this page.I also recommend checking out “Why High-Achievers Perform Success.”

Yes absolutely! It's actually a big reason why I started providing system support in the work that I do because I saw so many people were partially exceeding their capacity because they had no safe space to store all of the needed tasks and projects.
That being said, productivity systems only help if they reduce load instead of adding more management work. The right productivity systems help you prioritize clearly, protect focused time, reduce decision fatigue, and stop rebuilding your plan from scratch every day. That also requires some upkeep, habits and routines to make sure that the productivity system in and of itself is serving the person using it.

Sustainable performance means being able to do meaningful high-quality work without relying on constant overextension. It includes better boundaries, clearer systems, realistic capacity planning, recovery, and a definition of success that does not require you to abandon yourself. There's so much more to it than just this but I feel like this is a good snapshot.
-
My initial gut reaction is that it's neither. It can include both but the focus is on sustainable performance. That means we look at how your work systems, energy goals, and identity are interacting so you can keep growing without repeating the same cycle of burnout.
I have definitely supported clients and former clients through career moves and career transitions, including finding new work that is more aligned with their sustainability goals, their values, etc. That doesn't always include career coaching. It is more along the lines of boundaries, systems, recovery, etc.

I love this question and in fact I have some resources I'm going to link below about when to make career pivots, questions to ask before you quit, etc. Because frankly changing careers or changing jobs in and of itself is not always a solution to burn out. The reason for that is because we often repeat the same patterns and behaviors in our new careers, in our new positions. The first step really is diagnosing what is actually creating the strain:
workload
boundaries
values mismatched
lack of support
unclear priorities
a system that keeps forcing you to overfunction
If we can make changes in your current position or in your current career based on those diagnoses, beautiful! But sometimes we can't and in those situations it does require seeking alternative career moves or jobs.
Here are some great resources:
