Who am I?

Oh goodness—where to start, am I right? Well, I’m a former scientist-turned-coach, speaker, podcaster, entrepreneur, etc. I’m a high-achiever, a recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser. I can be a workaholic and, frankly, my work ethic is probably one of the big reasons why I haven’t found my person yet. Work, my business, accolades… they always felt so important! And dating? Who has time for that? I think my focus was always about getting myself to a place where I felt fulfilled and stable, and dating always took a backseat to that. It just wasn’t my focus.

I’m a former soccer player and high-level athlete, but don’t get it twisted—I’ve always struggled with body image. Body insecurity and self-image are some of my biggest demons.

I’ve moved quite a bit in my adult life, too, which makes finding your people hard. I moved across my home state of Washington at 18 for college, cross-country in my mid-20s for graduate school, and spent 2018 traveling abroad to 11 different countries. I settled where I am now at 30, and it’s only just starting to feel like I’m finding my people again. Another reason it’s been hard to focus on dating—I didn’t know how long I would be in any given place.
